Ateme Joins Akamai Qualified Computing Partner Program

by Amelia Ramiro

Cambridge, Mass. – Akamai Technologies Inc. has announced that Ateme has joined the Akamai Qualified Computing Partner Program. Ateme is a global leader in providing video compression, delivery, and streaming solutions. This partnership will allow Akamai customers to benefit from Ateme’s end-to-end high-quality video-delivery solutions, providing them with greater choices in their digital transformation.

As part of the Akamai Qualified Computing Partner Program, Ateme will offer workloads that can be deployed with a range of origin options on Akamai’s massively distributed edge and cloud platform, known as Akamai Connected Cloud. This will enable joint customers to enjoy low latency, better throughput, and competitive data transfer rates, resulting in cost benefits such as reduced bandwidth and storage requirements.

Ricardo Minari, Director of Global Partnerships at Ateme, expressed excitement about joining the program and highlighted the commitment to delivering high-quality video content to global audiences, even during their ongoing digital transformation journeys.

Matt Berk, Vice President of Cloud Computing at Akamai, stated that the partnership allows pay TV operators and content providers to captivate their audiences with high-quality video and scale it across Akamai Connected Cloud.

The Akamai Qualified Computing Partner Program aims to make solution-based features that are interoperable with Akamai’s cloud computing services easily accessible to Akamai customers. These services are provided by Akamai technology partners who complete a thorough qualification process.
