Nutanix, a leader in hybrid multi-cloud computing, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Digital Government Authority (DGA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The aim of this agreement is to develop mechanisms for government agencies to benefit from cloud services, explore digital business opportunities, and intensify cooperation to accelerate innovation and digital transformation in Saudi Arabia.

The signing of the memorandum took place in Riyadh after discussions in New York City. The high-level delegation from the Digital Government Authority, led by HE Eng. Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, Governor of the Digital Government Authority, met with representatives of Nutanix to finalize the agreement.

HE Eng. Ahmed Alsuwaiyan stated that this memorandum supports the authority’s initiatives to accelerate the adoption of cloud computing services and apply international best practices in various fields related to digital government. The goal is to enhance the Kingdom’s digital leadership, localize the technology industry, provide support for the adoption of cloud computing services, and improve the quality of digital services. This aligns with the strategic directions of the digital government and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Talal Al-Saif, Nutanix’s Sales Director for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, and Egypt, added that the Nutanix platform enables hybrid cloud computing for public sector agencies. It allows them to run and manage workloads and applications across on-premises data centers, public and private clouds, multiple hypervisors, and containers as a single cohesive infrastructure. By simplifying IT infrastructure and associated tasks, Nutanix frees up government IT teams to focus on new projects and initiatives.

“Our technologies keep critical services running smoothly,” said Talal Al-Saif.

Under this agreement, Nutanix will strengthen its cooperation with the Digital Government Authority and approved XSP service providers. The collaboration will focus on developing skills and expertise by providing resource enablement as part of Nutanix’s pre-sales activities. Furthermore, Nutanix will support government and public institutions in adopting public cloud computing services by creating smooth, fast, and scalable methods.

This partnership between Nutanix and the Digital Government Authority demonstrates their commitment to accelerating digital transformation and innovation in Saudi Arabia. By leveraging cloud services and exploring digital business opportunities, they aim to enhance the Kingdom’s digital leadership and achieve the goals set forth in Saudi Vision 2030.
