by Norman Scott

Google is set to unveil its new lineup of Pixel products during its upcoming Made by Google event. The event will take place on October 4th, 2023, and will be live-streamed on Google’s website, YouTube channel, and other platforms.

The highlight of the event will be the new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones. Rumors suggest that the Pixel 8 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch display and an upgraded rear camera array, including a 50MP wide lens, a 48MP ultrawide lens with Macro Focus, and a 48MP camera with a 5x telephoto lens. The standard Pixel 8 is expected to have a smaller display and a 50MP wide camera on its rear. Both devices may be powered by Google’s new Tensor G3 chip and offer a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

Google has not confirmed the pricing for the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro yet, but rumors suggest that both models could see a price increase compared to their predecessors. The Pixel 8 may cost $699, while the Pixel 8 Pro could be priced at $999.

The event will also showcase the new Pixel Watch 2. A teaser released by Google shows glimpses of the watch’s new crown and a revamped sensor array. The Pixel Watch 2 is rumored to adopt features from Fitbit fitness trackers, including a new heart rate tracker and a stress management system. It may also have automatic exercise detection and a Safety Check option for emergency situations.

The Pixel Buds Pro, Google’s wireless earbuds, may also receive new color options. Teasers show a porcelain case, and there are rumors of a sky blue color variant.

Alongside the new product lineup, Google is expected to release Android 14, the latest version of its operating system. Android 14 is set to introduce new features such as passkeys, AI-generated wallpapers, larger text options, and stylus enhancements.

Overall, Google’s Made by Google event promises to be an exciting showcase of its latest Pixel devices and updates. Whether you’re interested in smartphones, smartwatches, earbuds, or the latest version of Android, this event is one to watch.
