Samsung Galaxy S24 Design Leaks: Flat Sides and Familiar Look
While we still have a few more months to go before the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, leaks have already started revealing some potential new features of the upcoming flagship phones. In addition, past rumors have hinted at the design similarities between the Galaxy S24 and its predecessor, the Galaxy S23.
A recent leak from SmartPrix provides further insight into what we can expect from the design of the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup. According to the leak, the Galaxy S24, which is the smallest of the upcoming flagship phones, will sport a 6.1-inch screen. The most noticeable change is the inclusion of completely flat sides, while maintaining rounded corners and a metal frame similar to the Galaxy S23.
The leaked images showcase the front of the device, which is almost entirely covered by the screen, featuring a punch-hole-shaped cutout for the selfie camera. The Galaxy S24 is rumored to have dimensions of 147 x 70.5 x 7.6mm, making it slightly taller and narrower than its predecessor, the Galaxy S23.
Moving to the back of the device, the Galaxy S24 is equipped with three rear-facing cameras, each with individual camera rings, resembling the design of the Galaxy S23. Unless Samsung introduces new colors for the phone, it will maintain a similar appearance to its predecessor. Other notable features include a USB Type-C port, a SIM card slot, a microphone, and a loudspeaker on the bottom, as well as two additional microphones on the top. The power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the device when viewed from the front.
As for the rumored specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S24, it is expected to be powered by an Exynos 2400 chip, while in Canada, China, and the US, it may utilize a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The device may boast an LTPO 120Hz OLED screen with a peak brightness of up to 2,500 nits. Camera-wise, it could feature a 12MP selfie camera, a 50MP primary rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. In terms of storage and memory, it may come with 12GB RAM and options for 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
The Galaxy S24 is also rumored to have a 4,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. Other potential features include an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
While these leaked specifications and design details should be taken with a grain of salt until officially confirmed by Samsung, they provide an exciting glimpse into what we might expect from the upcoming Galaxy S24 lineup.
