Samsung Pushes for Early Release of Galaxy S24 Series to Compete with iPhone 15

Even before the iPhone 15 series was launched, Samsung apparently had a feeling that its rival’s phones were going to do well. And now that that fear is coming true, the company might go forward with its alleged plan to introduce the Galaxy S24 series earlier than last year.

According to a new report from South Korean publication, The Elec, Samsung is considering launching the Galaxy S24 series earlier than its predecessor due to the strong demand for the iPhone 15. The company is aiming to prevent Apple from taking big bites out of its market share.

Samsung’s latest foldable handsets, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, are reportedly selling 8 to 10 percent better than their predecessors. This is quite an achievement considering the current state of the market. However, Samsung’s bendable phones are not immune to the wider macroeconomic challenges and do not seem to be meeting the company’s expectations.

Industry watchers have observed that shipments of the foldable phones will not meet the predicted numbers of 12 to 13 million units. The lack of new part orders ahead of the three-day Chuseok holiday indicates that demand might not be as high as anticipated.

To stay ahead of the competition and boost sales, Samsung is reportedly planning to begin mass production of Galaxy S24 parts in November, a month earlier than last year. This has fueled speculations that the company will also move up the launch of the Galaxy S24 line.

The Elec’s report states that the Galaxy S24 will be released one month earlier than its predecessor, the Galaxy S23, which was launched in February. This decision comes as a response to the strong demand for the iPhone 15, as Samsung aims to maintain its market share and prevent Apple from dominating the market.

By releasing the Galaxy S24 series earlier, Samsung hopes to capitalize on the momentum generated by the iPhone 15 and offer consumers a competitive alternative. With annual foldable shipments projected to reach 10 million units for the first time in history, Samsung is determined to maintain its position as a leader in the smartphone industry.

As the battle between Samsung and Apple intensifies, consumers can expect to see more innovative features and improved performance in the upcoming Galaxy S24 series. The competition between these two tech giants serves as a driving force for technological advancements, benefiting consumers with more choices and cutting-edge devices.
