Nintendo Australia has exciting news for all Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fans. The Splatoon 3 AU/NZ 2023 Championship and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: AU/NZ 2023 Open will take place at PAX Australia in October.
Starting this month, Nintendo Australia is hosting a series of qualifiers for the Splatoon 3: AU/NZ Championship. The finals of this championship will be held on October 8th at PAX Australia. The qualifiers will occur on August 19th and August 28th, with teams competing in Turf War and Anarchy Battle modes.
Participating teams in the qualifiers have the opportunity to win various rewards. The top team across each qualifier will receive 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points, while five randomly selected teams will also be awarded 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points. Additionally, all participants will receive 50 Platinum Points per day just for playing.
To register for the Splatoon 3: AU/NZ Championship, players must create a FACEIT account using the same email address as their Nintendo Account. They can then navigate to the Splatoon 3 Game Dashboard on the ESL website and complete the game registration process.
On the other hand, the open championship for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will take place on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, and 11th of September. Similar to the Splatoon 3 championship, players can earn My Nintendo Gold Points for participating. The top two players across each qualifier will be awarded 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points, and twenty randomly selected players will also receive the same reward. Additionally, like the Splatoon 3 championship, all participants will receive 50 Platinum Points per day for playing.
To join the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe championship, players simply need to select ‘Online Play’ in the game, pick ‘Tournaments’, and then click on ‘Search by Code’. They can then enter the specific tournament code for each day’s qualifier.
Both championships offer an exciting opportunity for Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe players to showcase their skills and compete against other players.
