Ubisoft has officially confirmed that development for The Division 3 has begun, with Julian Gerighty, the director of The Division 2, leading the project. Gerighty, who has previously worked on well-known Ubisoft titles such as Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell, and Assassin’s Creed, is set to oversee the entire The Division franchise.

In a statement to PCGamesN, Ubisoft stated that The Division 3 will serve as a sequel to the multiplayer game The Division 2. The Division series, developed and maintained by Massive Entertainment, has gained a loyal following since its inception.

Gerighty expressed his excitement for the project, saying, “There are only a few games that I can genuinely say blew me away the first time I saw them, and Tom Clancy’s The Division is one of them.” He acknowledged the dedicated player community and expressed his enthusiasm for continuing to build incredible and unforgettable experiences in the game’s immersive world.

However, Ubisoft has not yet provided any release date or story details for The Division 3. In addition to The Division series, Ubisoft is also working on various Assassin’s Creed games, including Assassin’s Creed Mirage, AC Red, and the multiplayer-focused Assassin’s Creed Infinity.

While awaiting the release of The Division 3, players can explore other captivating co-op games recommended by PCGamesN. Additionally, PC gamers can dive into the best apocalypse-themed games available on the platform.

With The Division 3 officially in development, fans of the series can look forward to further immersive and action-packed experiences in the post-apocalyptic world of Tom Clancy’s The Division.
