Fatshark, the developer of Warhammer Vermintide 2, has recently revealed the weapons that will be available to Sienna’s Necromancer career in the upcoming game update. Sienna, who is known for her spell-slinging abilities, will have access to a devastating scythe and a staff with unique magic powers. These weapons will allow players to make and reanimate corpses as they battle against the armies of Chaos and the Skaven hordes.
In a recent preview of the Necromancer career, Fatshark showcased Sienna’s skeletal army but didn’t go into detail about the weapons. Now, they have unveiled the Ensorcelled Reaper, a heavy and powerful scythe that allows Sienna to cleave her way through hordes of enemies. This weapon can also be used with Sienna’s previous careers. Additionally, the Soulstealer Staff, exclusive to the Necromancer career, offers “vile magicks” that can target and extract the souls of nearby enemies.
For players who prefer Sienna’s existing staves and melee weapons, they will still be available, except for the Flamestorm Staff. This means that players will have a total of 11 options to choose from. Alongside these weapons, Sienna’s Necromancer career also comes with the ability to command an army of six skeletons. These skeletons can either be given specific orders or left to their own devices, providing distractions and creating space for Sienna to unleash powerful attacks.
The addition of the skeletons will also benefit solo players who often find themselves overwhelmed by enemies. Having the skeletons as tanks will help draw enemy attention and provide support in challenging situations. Fatshark has stated that additional dev blogs will be released in the lead-up to the Warhammer Vermintide 2 Necromancer release date on October 19, 2023.
