Apple has announced a range of new features and enhancements that will be coming to its services this fall. These updates will provide users with even more functionality and fun experiences across Apple Music, Apple Maps, Apple Podcasts, and more.

One of the most exciting updates is the introduction of Collaborative Playlists in Apple Music. Users will be able to collaborate with family and friends to create playlists, with the ability to select and edit tracks and even add emoji reactions to songs. This feature will enhance the social aspect of music discovery and allow users to curate playlists together.

Apple Music Sing is also receiving an update with Continuity Camera. Users will be able to see themselves onscreen and apply camera filters while singing along to their favorite songs. This immersive experience will enhance the enjoyment of Apple Music Sing and add a new level of interactivity.

Apple Music subscribers will also be able to discover more about the artists behind their favorite songs with the introduction of Song Credits. This feature will provide comprehensive data about the artists who contributed to tracks, including their roles and the instruments they played. It will give users a deeper appreciation for the music they love.

In addition to these updates, Apple Maps is introducing offline maps and trails. Users will be able to easily select an area on their device and download it for offline access. This will allow users to access turn-by-turn navigation, find places, and more even when they don’t have an internet connection. Apple Maps is also adding real-time electric vehicle charging station availability for users with electric vehicles.

Apple Fitness+ is introducing Custom Plans, which will provide users with custom workout or meditation schedules based on their preferences. Users will also be able to queue multiple workouts and meditations with Stacks, allowing for a seamless transition between activities. Audio Focus will enable Fitness+ subscribers to prioritize the volume of music or the trainers’ voices during workouts and meditations.

Apple Podcasts is also receiving several updates, including the ability to listen to Apple Music radio shows in the app. Users will be able to stream the entire catalog of award-winning, commercial-free shows. The Now Playing experience has been redesigned with a dynamic background and enhanced controls, while episode art support allows users to explore more about podcast episodes.

Apple News+ subscribers will enjoy additional benefits, such as daily crosswords with Puzzles and professionally narrated audio stories from leading magazines and newspapers. Apple Books is introducing series pages, making it easier for users to find and read books in a series.

Other updates include the ability to set up recurring payments with Apple Cash and present an ID to businesses using iPhone and Apple Wallet. Users will also be able to share their location and request someone else’s location through Find My in Messages and Maps, as well as share items with AirTag and Find My network accessories.

These new features and enhancements will be available with iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma, watchOS 10, and tvOS 17, which will be released this fall as a free software update. Users can look forward to an even more enriching and enjoyable experience across their favorite Apple devices.
