ASTROSMASH®, the iconic shoot-em-up game from the 80s, is making a comeback and is set to conquer the gaming universe once again. BBG Entertainment, the developer and publisher of the game, has announced that ASTROSMASH® will be released on various platforms, including Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Windows Store, on October 12. The game has already gained a lot of attention, and press and creators can now request review codes to explore the cosmic carnage that awaits them.
ASTROSMASH® takes players on a thrilling space adventure where they must man their laser cannons and fight against an interstellar onslaught of meteors, bombs, and other celestial adversaries. In the game, players control a laser cannon and navigate across a cosmic plane, shooting down falling objects such as meteors, bombs, and even UFOs. As players progress through the game, the objects increase in velocity, providing a cosmically challenging experience. Each level is accompanied by stunning backdrops and perfectly synchronized background music, adding to the immersive gameplay.
Originally released in 1981, ASTROSMASH® quickly became one of the most popular games of its time. Now, over four decades later, BBG Entertainment is offering a modern reimagining of this legendary 16-bit title. ASTROSMASH® is the final release in BBG’s lineup of reimagined games, following the successful releases of Dynablaster®, Shark! Shark!®, and Boulder Dash®.
