Intel has confirmed that it will be bringing Meteor Lake CPUs to its desktop platform in 2024, putting to rest rumors of their cancellation. The announcement came from an interview with PCWorld, in which Intel’s Executive Vice President and general manager of the Client Computing Group, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, confirmed that Meteor Lake CPUs are indeed coming to desktop PCs.
This confirmation is significant, as it dispels the speculations that Intel was focusing on Arrow Lake for its desktop CPU lineup, instead of the Meteor Lake family. Holthaus’ statement ensures that the Meteor Lake CPUs will be part of Intel’s overall strategy for both mobile and desktop platforms.
