Nintendo Australia has recently announced that the highly awaited Splatoon 3 AU/NZ 2023 Championship will be taking place at PAX Australia in October. Coinciding with this event, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: AU/NZ 2023 Open will also hold its final during PAX. This news has brought an incredible level of excitement amongst gaming enthusiasts and competitive players in the country.

Starting from this month, Nintendo Australia has initiated a series of qualifiers for the Splatoon 3: AU/NZ Championship. These qualifiers will lead up to the finals on Sunday, 8th of October, at PAX Australia. The competitive teams will have two opportunities to battle it out for a chance to secure their spot in the championship. The first qualifier will be held on Saturday, 19th August, followed by the second qualifier on Sunday, 28th August, both starting at 11 AM AEST.

The top team from each qualifier, totaling eight players, will be awarded 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points, which can be redeemed for various rewards and discounts. Additionally, five randomly selected teams, totaling 20 players, will also receive 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points. This distribution of rewards ensures that there is an opportunity for various teams, regardless of their placement or outcome in the qualifiers, to receive recognition for their participation. Furthermore, all participants will earn 50 Platinum Points per day just for playing in the qualifiers.

Firstly, players need to create a FACEIT account using the same email address they use for their Nintendo Account. Then, they must visit the Splatoon 3 Game Dashboard on the ESL website and select ‘Register Splatoon 3’. Following this, they need to complete the game registration process. It is important to note that only players residing in Australia or New Zealand are eligible to participate in this championship.
